Recently, Sonitrol Security of Louisville owner, Ken Krapf, donated a horse to the Louisville Metro Mounted Police.
Louisville, KY, October 1 – With the recent growth in the economy, local businesses and residents are looking for a way to serve their community and give back. Recently, Sonitrol Security of Louisville owner, Ken Krapf, donated a horse to the Louisville Metro Mounted Police. “We believe in supporting our local police who protect our community every day” states Ken, “and Sonitrol is proud to partner with them in making this city a better place to live.”
And what better place to give than the Louisville Metro Police. It is their mission to deliver professional, effective services, fairly and ethically, at all times, to people, in order to prevent crime, control crime and enhance the overall quality of live for citizens and visitors. Sonitrol Security works with them frequently to improve the safety of our city.
The Sonitrol of Louisville Police Relations Program is a way for Sonitrol to recognize the support that the alarm industry receives from officers and staff of the Louisville Metro Police Department. “Our success as an alarm company is directly aligned with the response times of our officers and the apprehensions they are able to make due to Sonitrol’s verified video and audio systems,” states Ken, Sonitrol owner.
The horse that was donated, “Soni” is three years old and currently in training to become an officer in the Mounted Patrol. He is a very curious horse and has done very well in training. He has been to several large events and music festivals in Louisville, KY and will be a fantastic, and much needed, addition to the LMPD team. “They are very important members of the force. A lot of times, people view our Mounted Patrol as great ambassadors for our city,” says Tracie Texas, executive director of the LMPD Foundation. These horses are crucial for crowd control in riots or revelry and will put themselves in harm’s way, just like their human partners.
Sonitrol Security of Louisville is also working with the Louisville Metro Police foundation on a relocated and improved barn area for the Mounted Police horses at Churchill Downs here in Louisville, KY.
