A: The following qualifications are essential for consideration as a Sonitrol franchisee:

• Marketing and sales oriented.
• Provide the best customer service possible regardless of the inconveniences.
• Entrepreneurial management, organization, and capital to grow Sonitrol in one's local Area of Primary Responsibility (APR).
• Hire, motivate and train an effective sales, installation and operations team dedicated to serving its customers.
• Conduct its business in strict accordance with Sonitrol's national franchise standards on image and operation.

Q: How much cash or liquid assets will I need?

A: The total Capitalization investment for a Type A franchise is $253,500 to $492,000.

Q: Will Sonitrol help me finance my franchise?

A: No. We do not provide any direct financing. The costs of your business may be financed through lending institutions; we have developed relationships with a number of third party lenders you may contact.

Q: What is the availability of sites and territories in my area of interest?

A: Site location is not key - you are granted an Area of Primary Responsibility (APR) that is a specific geographic boundary typically defined by counties or other political subdivisions. This is a nonexclusive territory, but you are responsible for promoting the sale of Sonitrol products and services within your APR.

Q: What is Sonitrol's position on franchising to minorities?

Q: How do I obtain a copy of the Sonitrol franchise agreement?

A: Prior to signing any agreements with Sonitrol, we will provide you with a Uniform Franchise Operating Circular (UFOC) that includes all required disclosure information and copies of our franchise agreements.
